SUPER LOW PRICE FOR A SUPER NICE BIKE! BIKE IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. DOES NOT HAVE 'CLEAR' OR 'SALVAGE' TITLE. HAS 'CERTIFICATE of DESTRUCTION', WHICH MEANS THAT IT CAN-NOT BE REGISTERED FOR STREET USE UNLESS YOU LIVE IN A STATE OR COUNTRY WHERE THIS IS ALLOWED. FOR STREET USE, AS FAR AS WE KNOW, ONLY A FEW STATES ALLOW REGISTRATION OF A 'CERTIFICATE of DESTRUCTION'.

  • INDIANA,
  • NEW HAMPSHIRE,
  • KENTUCKY,
  • EITHER N. or S. DAKOTA OR BOTH.
  • COLORADO
  • TERE MAY BE MORE?

YOU MUST DETERMINE IF YOU CAN USE THIS BIKE! CHECK WITH YOUR STATE DEPARTMENT OF SAFETY/MOTOR VEHICLES BEFORE BIDDING!

If you pick up, sales tax must be collected at the rate of the state where the CERTIFICATE will be registered. If I ship to your destination, sales tax does not have to be collected by me at this location and shipping fee will have to be added to final bid settlement price. Please contact me for any clarification that you need on this!

Question & Answer

Q: The 2000 Triumph Legend TT posting has a miss-leading header. The "Street Triple" is a very specific Triumph model that was introduced around 2008 approximately. The Legend TT is a lot more like the "Thunderbird", and nothing like the "Street Triple", if you want to make reference to another Triumph model for comparison. The post might turn-off or miss-lead other prospective buyers as well. May-12-11

A: Thanks! Here is a link for 2002 Triumph Thunderbird triple cylinder > http://www.bikez.com/motorcycles/triumph_thunderbird_2002.php

Q: Why does this bike have a Certificate of Destruction? Does it run?

A: IT CONCERNS ME WHEN SOMEBODY ASKS IF IT 'RUNS' SINCE I HAVE GONE TO GREAT EXTENT TO POST PHOTOS & VIDEOS TO SHOW BOTH THE GOOD, BAD & THE UGLY! PLEASE SEE THE LINKS IN THE AD! WHEN CERTIFICATES OF DESTRUCTION WERE CREATED & WERE ORIGINALLY ISSUED WHEN 'REPAIRS' EXCEEDED 80% OF VALUE OF VEHICLE AND THE POLICY HOLDER GETS MORE CASH FOR THE VEHICLE. NOW THEY ARE ISSUED BECAUSE THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER IS TOO LAZY OR TOO BUSY TO GO THE EXTRA MILE TO GET A PROPER APPRAISAL. WITH THIS BIKE A 'SALVAGE' TITLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ISSUED AS YOU CAN SEE IN PHOTOS & VIDEO THAT THERE ARE MINOR DAMAGES.

HISTORY OF THE TRIUMPH LEGEND: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triumph_Legend_TT

=========================

2000 Triumph Legend TT
The Legend's authentic, traditional look is derived from the Thunderbird, using the same curvaceous, teardrop fuel tank, wire-spoked wheels with chromed rims and reverse cone silencers that make it such an attractive and genuine design.

The 885cc three-cylinder engine too is borrowed from the Thunderbird, tuned for the sort of abundant torque and crisp throttle response which has already made this power unit such a favourite with many Triumph riders.

The Legend is particularly easy to handle at low speeds and when parking thanks to its low seat and narrow profile and with a restriction kit also available, it's an ideal entry into the world of classically styled Triumphs.

As with all of Triumph's classic machines, Triumph offers a comprehensive range of accessories so that the discerning rider is able to personalise the motorcycle exactly to his or her tastes.
